A tragic single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a young Enterprise resident early Wednesday morning, October 1, 2025.
At approximately 2:21 a.m., the Coffee County Coroner’s Office responded to the 5800 block of County Road 636, where a vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, identified as Irma Sanchez, 22, of Enterprise, was pronounced deceased at the scene after her vehicle caught fire following the impact.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing with the Coffee County Coroner’s Office, the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) all involved in determining the circumstances leading up to the crash.
The response to the incident included the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee County 911 Center, Enterprise Rescue, and fire departments from Battens, Goodman, New Brockton, and Enterprise.
